Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 28, 2026  ·  Stratum Financial Partners LLC  ·  Illinois

Stratum Financial Partners LLC ("Stratum," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our client portal and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide our financial services to you:

  • Account information: Your name, email address, and company name when you create a portal account.
  • Financial data: With your explicit authorization, we access financial data from your QuickBooks Online account, including profit and loss statements, balance sheet data, cash flow information, accounts receivable, and related accounting records.
  • Usage data: Basic technical information such as login timestamps and session activity to maintain account security. We may use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to securely authenticate your sessions and analyze portal performance.

Sensitive financial identifiers such as payment card information, Social Security numbers, and government-issued ID numbers may be collected as part of your engagement with Stratum through separate, secure channels. This information is never transmitted to, stored in, or accessible through the client portal.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

  • Provide you access to your financial dashboard and reporting within the Stratum client portal.
  • Deliver bookkeeping, fractional CFO, and FP&A services as described in your engagement agreement.
  • Communicate with you about your account, your financials, or our services.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of your account.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with third parties for marketing or any other purpose unrelated to delivering our services. For the purposes of applicable state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act), Stratum acts solely as a "Service Provider," and does not "sell" or "share" your personal information as defined by such statutes.

3. QuickBooks Online Integration

Our portal integrates with Intuit QuickBooks Online via Intuit's official OAuth 2.0 API. When you authorize this connection, we receive access to your QuickBooks company data. This access is used exclusively to populate your Stratum financial dashboard.

You may revoke this authorization at any time from within your QuickBooks Online account settings. Revoking access will disconnect your QuickBooks data from the Stratum portal.

Intuit's privacy practices are governed by Intuit's Privacy Statement.

4. Third-Party Links and Services

Our portal may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., payment processors) that are not owned or controlled by Stratum. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by our Services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of third-party sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information to them.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted authentication tokens, secure HTTPS transmission, and access controls that limit data visibility to you and your assigned Stratum partner only.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we use commercially reasonable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and financial data for the duration of your engagement with Stratum and for a reasonable period thereafter as required by applicable law or our record-keeping obligations. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at the address below.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at erin@stratumfp.com.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the portal after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under this Privacy Policy shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in DuPage County, Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
